Building Futures

In the predominantly male landscape of the construction industry, where women constitute a mere 12%, ACED recognises that stereotypes, assumptions, and misconceptions act as barriers, dissuading females from even considering a career in construction.

Mentoring the next generation of women in construction isn’t just important—it’s essential. And it all starts with the right community.  The ACED Building Futures Mentoring Program is a mentee-led initiative that keeps things simple and flexible. Your role? Share your insights, offer guidance, and be a sounding board while your mentee takes the lead in shaping the experience. It’s a low-commitment high-impact way to support the next generation of women in construction through real conversations, shared experiences, and career guidance.

Building Futures is a program designed to support the growing number of women who are choosing to study a construction related degree. Through a coffee roulette set up, students meet a cross section of industry professionals to understand the diverse roles available while fine tuning their networking skills.
