Professional Parents Network

Encouraging professionals to remain in the construction industry requires demonstrating pathways for balancing motherhood with their careers.

This can range from family planning, navigating pregnancy to transitioning through maternity leave and returning to work. It is vital to create an environment that recognises and accommodates these life milestones.

While individual companies are striving to support would-be parents through improving paid parental leave policies and keeping in touch throughout their leave, there remains a discernible gap – the lack of a comprehensive support network. The Professional Parents Network seeks to fill this void, offering informal meetups at local cafes or online tailored for those in the construction industry. It provides a space to discuss the challenges and joys of parenthood, maintain industry connections, and exchange insights on how companies support employees through this significant life transition.
